palmistry lines

    What is Palmistry
Palmistry is a pseudo science of anticipating the future and interpreting the past and present of the individual by closely analyzing the lines of the palm. The practice of palm reading is not specific to any race or region; the art of foretelling is deeply embedded in the traditional culture of ancient times.

The great Aristotle discovered a treatise on the subject of palm reading whereas King Julius Caesar judged his subjects on the basis of their hand lines. However, the credit of unifying the disparate procedures of palm telling goes to the modern age which has enveloped the different procedures of hand reading , unifying them into a common science of Chiromancy or Chirology.

    Palmistry Lines - Palm Lines
The three different aspects of palmistry lines are: Chiromancy (analysis of line in the palm), Chirognomy (separate evaluation of mounts, types of fingers, thumb shape, nails and texture) and Dermatoglyphics (analysis of skin ridge patterns). The set of primary lines consist of: Life line, head line, heart line. The secondary set of lines and objects consist of: Mounts on our hand, the thumb, fingers, nails and the type of hand the bearer possess. The examination of palmistry lines is inclusive of the recent medical research which correlates the genetic factors and abnormalities to the figures found in hand. The art connects the link of heart diseases with the acute study of heart line on your hand. So, whether it is the hand of a criminal or a sage, palmistry lines claim to foretell the positive and the negative effects correctly.

2009 Audi Review

but things really began to get interestingaround this time, twenty years ago. This was when Audi, a brand best known for quattro all wheel drive, did something very innovative with the oil burner. Teaming up with Bosch they launched what would be the world's first common-rail turbodiesel-powered car, a giant step forward not only for Audi, but for the industry as a whole. Neither big, nor powerful, the Audi 100 TDI's 125-horsepower 2.5-liter inline-five turbodiesel opened a new chapter for diesel power.

Over the past two decades diesels have undergone tremendous innovation, and although North America has missed out on a lot of the action, we're starting to see some of these new clean diesels trickle into our market. Many powertrain ideas found in high-performance cars today, which are sometimes taken for granted, such as the variable geometry turbo or piezoinjectors, wouldn't be around if it weren't for the development of the diesel engine. And these technologies probably wouldn't be available - or at least not introduced as quickly as they were - if it weren't for that darn, grid-sweeping and series-dominating R10 TDI race car that's been cleaning up at Le Mans and ALMS for the past couple of years.

Every year, Audi budgets about $3 bn towards powertrains, and quite a lot of that money, year after year, has been spend on a new generation of diesel engines. As of late, a considerable portion goes to making sure that its engines will pass emissions all around the world. In fact, Audi's confidence levels on the subject of emissions are so high that it's claiming the new 3.0 TDI is the world's cleanest diesel.

For Audi, the re-launch of diesel in North America will focus around the Q7. It's the best suited vehicle for multiple reasons, starting with the reality that the Q7 was the first Audi designed primarily for North American consumption. Also, efficient yet torque-rich diesel engines offer the most impact when fitted to large, heavy SUVs, plus competitors Mercedes-Benz and BMW are/will be present in our market with diesel SUVs, and the last but not least important reason Audi's SUV was chosen was because the Q7 has been a hotbed for Audi's diesel R&D.

Audi is building a veritable diesel empire within the Q7 range. There are now two different engines available, including a smallish sounding 3.0-liter TDI V6 and the 4.2-liter V8 TDI, the latter of which at 326 horsepower and 560 lb-ft of torque is currently the most powerful diesel production SUV. To maintain its supremacy in diesel performance, Audi is launching the world's most powerful diesel automobile, the Q7 V12 TDI with its 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 TDI that makes 500 horsepower and an astonishing 757 lb-ft of torque - equal to Mercedes' twin-turbocharged gasoline-powered V12 SL65 AMG. It'd have more, but the six-speed auto that it's equipped with would break under the stress. If its 5.5 second dash to 60 mph and 20 mpg average fuel economy isn't impressive, you really need to have your senses recalibrated.
The Q7s that we'll be getting have quite literally half of that V12 engine with identical bore and stroke measurements; it's a 90-degree V6 that's 3.0 liters in displacement, which incidentally is the same size as the Mercedes-Benz “320” series diesel engine in use in the GL/ML/R and Grand Cherokee CRD.It's also the same size as BMW's engine, expected to arrive here this fall. Audi has been receiving critical acclaim for this engine since it was launched in the Q7 back in '06,

Audi Unveils 2010 A5 and S5 Cabriolet

A5 coupe and its more powerful and sporting S5 derivative are amongst the most beautiful cars on the road today, and to make them even more enticing the German brand has removed their tops, exposing the all-new A5 and S5 Cabriolet models.

The new convertibles replace the A4 and S4 Cabriolet models, now discontinued, and follow a new naming strategy which uses the “A” to designate a car and an odd number to designate a two-door configuration. The A3 is the only model that deviates from this naming scheme, at least here in North America where only a five-door version is offered; in Europe and other markets the car is available in a two-door liftback layout.

So far Audi is only offering the photos shown here, the white car an A5 Cabriolet and the blue version an S5 Cabriolet. The car will officially debut in Geneva in March.

Basically the cars are topless versions of the coupes that bear the same name, so there's no need going over identical information about interior appointments andstyling, at least below the beltline. Above this point, rather than switching to a coupe-like metal roof, the A5 and S5 Cabriolets continue forward with fabric folding soft tops, which allows for more cargo room in the trunk, up to 11.3 cu-ft with the top down, and less weight above the car's shoulders, improving handling. Audi reduces weight further by using aluminum fenders, concentrating more of the lighter car's mass centrally for improved distribu

Sleek New Audi A7 Concept

Audi is set to debut its long anticipated A7 four-door coupe, a model that goes up against Mercedes-Benz's CLS, Porsche's Panamera, and would have targeted BMW's CS if the Bavarian brand hadn't canceled it earlier this month.

While it would make sense that the A7 would be one step up from the A6 and one down from the A8, the odd number has more to do with its coupe status than any rung in the Ingolstadt company's corporate ladder. While Audi will probably look to the A6 for underpinnings, the A8's aluminum construction being less flexible and more costly for redevelopment, this will join the R8 and A8 as a flagship car for the four-ringed brand; just as high-end but with a different mission. http://car-reviews.automobile.com/images/cars/images/7677/inline_2010_audi_a7_rendering.jpg

Audi has targeted global sales of around 40,000 units according to a report by Automotive News, with a launch date of late 2009 or early 2010.

Audi R8 V10

It’s the V10 engined, two-seat coupe that’s aiming to put Audi at the front of the race to build the world’s greatest sportscar. And with an incredible 525bhp on offer from the 5.2-litre FSI engine, it certainly looks like it’s got a jump-start on many of its direct rivals.

Aimed at the likes of the Aston Martin DB9 and Porsche 911 Turbo, the £100,700 machine certainly isn’t cheap. Yet despite this Audi says it’s already taken over 975 orders from eager customers – orders it expects to fulfil despite the current financial turmoil.

First deliveries are likely to be made in early summer – and unlike much of the competition Audi is confident that this model’s practicality means they will be a regular, if not common sight on the UK’s roads. So, what have drivers got to look forward to?

Those lucky enough to find themselves upgrading from a ‘standard’ V8 engined R8 will find much that is familiar. For example, this model uses the same ultra light aluminium spaceframe chassis, and it’s going to be hand built at the same German factory.

Build quality is sensational, particularly inside, where the fit and finish of the cabin trim is in our opinion the best currently available in this class – even if some rivals offer more sumptuous materials, or a more innovative look.

However, there are some important differences between this model and its lesser brother. Most obvious is the new V10 engine. As well as being some 30kg heavier than the V8, it also delivers 100bhp more, and will rev to almost 9,000rpm.

But it’s the way that this power is delivered that sets this new model apart from all others.
Out on the open road it emits the most incredible noise. Offering startling thrust from low in the rev range, it will propel the R8 V10 from 0-62mph in only 3.9 seconds. Top speed is 190mph. But more than this, the V10’s greatest achievement is that it offers far more refinement than the V8, while delivering far greater pace.

To make the very most of the new engine, our test car was fitted with the firm’s ‘magnetic ride’ adaptive suspension. Also available on models like the TT, this sees the dampers filled with a fluid that changes viscosity when an electromagnetic current is passed through it.

The net result is that the suspension provides a surprisingly comfortable ride over broken surfaces, while resisting body roll in corners. It takes time to adapt your driving style to make the very most of the arrangement, but this coupled with the car’s near perfect weight distribution endows the R8 with class leading stability on challenging roads.

Of course, it’s possible to provoke the four-wheel drive machine into a small slide if you do press the accelerator too hard, too early, but with the ESP traction control switched on any unexpected drama is brought quickly under control. In fact, the car’s impressive traction helps offer the driver a sense of security not available from many rivals.

Our car was also fitted with Audi’s automatic R Tronic six-speed gearbox. Ratios can be swapped using paddles behind the steering wheel, or the centrally mounted gearlever. Shifts are swift and smooth, backed by a satisfying bark from the exhausts as you change down.

So are there any criticisms? Honestly, there is no one area that undermines this car’s appeal or driveability. However, the four-wheel drive machine still can’t quite match the steering feel on offer from the Porsche 911. And even though we found our test car’s optional ceramic brakes delivered huge performance, there is not much feel on offer from the pedal. Making up for this is the engine’s near instant throttle response, and the gearbox’s, swift, accurate changes.

And who could forget the looks. Hugging the road, with its highly decorated engine visible through the rear glass screen, it’s a shape that even the very best machinery from Italy would be well advised to keep a close eye on…Ferrari, you have been warned!
